The Humane Society of the United States fundraisers in your community

You may encounter fundraisers representing the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) on busy streets or going door-to-door in your neighborhood. Our fundraisers approach people to discuss vital programs that work to end animal cruelty and to build our membership base by signing up low-dollar monthly donors called Humane Heroes.

Our fundraisers use iPads to collect the donor's information and their first gift is processed immediately upon joining. The donor then receives a welcome email with our call center's toll-free number and a PDF copy of their monthly giving agreement.

Our process is Payment Card Industry compliant and all of our donors' information is uploaded to a secure server to ensure their privacy is protected and data is secure.

About Face-to-Face Fundraising

Face-to-Face is an effective method of fundraising because we can engage with more people. We can answer questions as they arise and help the public to understand the need and urgency of their support. All fundraising methods cost money, regardless of the medium. Face-to-Face costs are relative to the amount of support that we receive. Face-to-Face is a responsible and highly effective fundraising method in which the HSUS invests.
